Procurava algo sobre a Suite Alster. Acabei encontrando uma das gravações que tenho, acompanhada de lindas imagens do carnaval de Hamburgo. O autor do vídeo selecionou quatro movimentos da Abertura (ou Suíte): o animado 2º movimento, o lento 3º, a dança folclórica do 4º e o muitíssimo jocoso 5º, meu preferido.
A orquestra é a esplêndida Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin e espero que som de seu micro seja bom, porque isto aqui tem de ser ouvido em volume bem alto. Sugiro tela grande também!

Não entendo carnaval contemplativo e acho que esses carnavais da Europa acabam servindo para reviver um passado feudal, onde todos podem fazer parte da nobreza (mais ou menos como no nosso carnaval, mas com muito mais roupa). Apesar disso, as imagens são magníficas, bem harmonizadas com a Suite Auster. (Já imaginastes o resto da casa?)
